In Les Eyzies, the world capital of Prehistory, Cazelle is one of the most impressive sites of this rich heritage.
Come discover in this striking prehistoric park, the many scenes reconstructing the life of our ancestors, plunging you chronologically from prehistory, the Middle Ages where the site was dug and converted into a real castle, and until 1966 when a couple farmers still occupied a monolithic house entirely cut in the rock.
You will follow the steep cliffs of Cazelle, entirely excavated by caves, refuges, undergrounds and habitats in which were collected countless tools and weapons cut by prehistoric men, 12,000 years ago … This traditional habitat has been restored to it, faithful to Perigordian habits and local history and in the constant concern of preserving the spirit of the place and its past.
The course is equipped with an educational signage allowing a coherent and chronological reading of the occupation of the cliff through the ages.
More than 100 characters and animals perfectly restored.
