The Cave of Maxange
A masterpiece of nature, offering an enchanting spectacle of eccentric concretions.
A stone’s throw from the Dordogne river, the Grotte de Maxange offers a rare diversity of concretions: stalactites, stalagmites, numerous aragonite panels covering entire walls, fistulas of extreme finesse, and above all a unique profusion of rare crystallizations called ” eccentric”, absolutely remarkable.
The latter have the particularity of literally defying the laws of gravity.
